Mike Wade's fire and passion for the music is obvious every time he picks up the horn. His sound is warm and full; his solo style ranges from blistering heat to the gently reflective. Saxophonist Steve Wilson says "Mike Wade has secured his place among the legacy of great trumpeters." Saxophonist Craig Bailey calls Mike "one of the most inspiring musicians of the new millenium....he has the fire and energy to be a great leader and artist."

Mike has played with Gary Bartz, Mulgrew Miller, Don Braden, David 'Fathead' Newman, Steve Wilson, Javon Jackson, Jon Hendricks and Annie Ross, Billy Hart, Bobby Watson, Antoine Roney, Craig Bailey and many others. Mike can be heard on many recordings, including four of his own as leader of his own acoustic and electric groups.
